Making Indonesia 4.0 is a program that started by the government and the goal is to be one of the Top 10 Economy in the World by 2030. One of this program’s components is IoT (Internet of Things) industry. IoT as one of the most important parts of industry 4.0 becomes extensively demanding and it will alter social relations. After two years gathering the executor and support the regulator in compiling the rules regarding IoT in Indonesia, Indonesia IoT Forum sees the need for education about IoT business and services to potential markets and society. This is necessary to grow market demand so that all executors at the industry have the opportunity to develop. IoT Goes to Market is a form of IoT Forum support for the IoT growth in Indonesia.
IoT Goes to Market consists of four activities; such as seminar, workshop, gathering, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in five cities (Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, Medan, and Yogyakarta) on October-December 2018. As for the speakers, there are Telkomsel VP Technology and System; Mr. Indra Mardiatna and Telkomsel GM Research Management; Mr. Edyson B. Tamba. Telkomsel as one of the IoT Forum member, consistently accelerate IoT ecosystem development in Indonesia by improving technology innovation and network readiness including the Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT). Telkomsel now already build NB-IoT coverage in Jakarta, Bandung, Indramayu, Cengkareng, Depok, Cirebon, and soon to other locations based on the potential markets.
